What could be the cause

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Just installed a new steering column, now starter will not engage. Everything else, lights, radio, etc gets power.

Could be shift cable or neutral safety switch adjustment. Or,... bad ignition switch on the column you installed. Re-check that you connected everything. Is it a new column, or replaced with a used one?
