91 lumina 3.1 euro idle issues

just got the car..the idle jumps..hesitates..then car stalls completely. Husband got a code 35- speed sensor.  Someone please help. We have just this car and I need it working asap.

idle control valves are real common on those the sit in the throttle body..... should be held in with two T25 torx or phillips.... hope it helps

Did your husband clean out the egr? I replaced my iac and both egr gaskets and it was a complete turn around...
