why is the distributer modulator keep going out on my van

what is causing this to go out, that was what was wrong with this when we got it 3 months ago
we put a new one in than, and about every 2and half to 3 weeks it seems to be going out again.
we put a new one in 1 and a half ago and it is gone today 3-8-08 it drives great while it is working no sounds or anything, than in the moring we go out and it won't start.

Sounds like perhaps there is an underlying electrical problem which is frying the module.  I would have this checked out by a mechanic.

Have you had a mechanic look at what is causing it, as in wire short, water leakage. But for this aprt to go out this often means that there is some other issue. I have had a 88, 2-91's, a 93 and a 94 AWD and the GMC 92, 99, 2003 In all those vans (most of which went over 250 000 to 300 000kms) I know all but one of the van owners with whom I sold it to.

So I am just thinking that there is a issue outside the modulators keep going bad. You might want to leave it with the mechanic for a few days to see if he/she can see an other problem that is causing the mods to go.
