why would my interior lights go out with my cd player

i hooked up a cd player in my 1992 chevy conversion van and my interior lights went out and my cd player wont turn on either

I think in hooking up the CD player you must have touched some wires together or have a bad connection tripping the fuse. The radio and interior lights might be on the same circuit.
