Question type: Maintenance & Repair

someone removed the limited slip differential from my 1971 El Camino. would this cause a loud howl when you let your foot off the gas at 50 mph and lower?

1 Answer

there are some shims in your GM "pumpkin"...most olde time auto parts stores have a few of these "washers" laying about...wlll search...you gotta dig deep, but they are there.....one must look at the axle bearings on the inside...and the seals too~....you CAN get the mesh correct if you can select the appropriate shim for the job...good luck on this~
