Where is the fuel filter located?

The fuel filter looks like a small metal canister. It is located underneath the vehicle between the engine and the fuel tank closer to the passenger side.

i have a Z-34 the filter is on the front side of gas tank attached on the underbody

My car won't start after a never started it for two weeks but before that it ran good some times then it would spudder could that be the fuel filter
