Overview of 2012 Toyota Sienna LE Mobility 7-Passenger By Eric Tallberg
Need a little extra in your 2012 Toyota Sienna LE? Try the LE Mobility 7-Passenger trim with its handy extra features that bolster an already impressive array of comforts and amenities. Officially the LE Mobility Auto Access, this 7-passenger minivan starts with 3 rows of seating and 150 cubic feet of cargo space with the rear seats folded, and goes on to include standard 17-inch alloy wheels, a roof rack, a rear power liftgate and a rear spoiler. Premium cloth upholstery adorns the front and reclining second-row captain’s chairs, not to mention the adult-friendly third-row bench seats, while cruise control, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, telescoping tilt-wheel steering, a universal remote garage door opener and a rear-view camera all comprise the handy convenience features aboard. Dual-zone air conditioning and an auto-dimming rear-view mirror also come standard, with a 6-speaker, single-CD audio system bolstered by satellite radio, Bluetooth technology and a USB connection.
Options on this well-endowed mini include a number of packages with stuff like carpeted floor mats, cargo organizing equipment, roof rails and door-sill protection. A couple of towing packages, as well as remote engine start, lower body molding, rear-seat DVD entertainment and BLU Logic audio-interfaced hands-free communications are also available.
Powering the 2012 Sienna LE Mobility 7-Passenger is the standard variable-valve-timed (VVT) 3.5-liter V6 that mates with a 6-speed shiftable automatic transmission for 266 hp and 245 lb-ft of torque. Expect 3,500 pounds of towing capacity with the proper equipment, while the front-wheel-drive-only LE Mobility 7-Passenger is estimated to get 18 mpg city/25 highway.
Toyota’s Star Safety System including 4-wheel antilock brakes (ABS), as well as traction and stability control, graces the 2012 Sienna LE Mobility 7-Passenger. Occupant safety, meantime, is helped by front side-mounted airbags, 3-row head airbags and a driver’s side knee airbag. Standard daytime running lights provide a further measure of safety, while a remote antitheft alarm and a V.I.P. security system are available as options.
This overview covers the LE Mobility 7-Passenger trim only.
