2012 Toyota Camry XLE Trim Overview

The Toyota Camry XLE, which received a complete redesign for 2012, comes equipped with a number of upscale features not found on lower-end trims, including wood-grain-style interior trim, chrome interior door handles and dual-zone automatic climate control with an air filter and rear-seat vents. The redesigned interior also features soft-touch surfaces, pleasant textures and faux hand-stitching. A 6.1-inch touchscreen, located on the center stack, gives drivers access to a 6-speaker audio system, vehicle information, a phone book, and music streaming. The fabric-trimmed front seats feature 8-way power adjustment for the driver and 4-way power adjustment for the front passenger. The leather-trimmed tilt/telescopic sport steering wheel includes integrated Bluetooth and voice-command controls. Power windows and door locks, remote keyless entry and a 60/40-split rear seat also come standard on the XLE.

A 2.5-liter DOHC 4-cylinder engine, producing 178 hp and 170 lb-ft of torque, powers the XLE. It mates to a 6-speed automatic transmission with overdrive. Electric power steering and power-assisted brakes come standard, as does Toyota's Star Safety System, which includes enhanced stability control, traction control, antilock brakes, electronic brakeforce distribution, brake assist and Smart Stop Technology. In addition, the Camry XLE comes equipped with 10 standard airbags, including rear seat-mounted airbags and knee airbags for the driver and front passenger. The 2012 Camry L rides on 17-inch alloy wheels.
