2012 Nissan Maxima SV Trim Overview

Nissan updates its upscale Maxima midsize sedan with a number of new features for 2012, including a redesigned front grille, new headlights and taillights, a few new interior treatments, two new exterior colors and two new wheel designs. Standard exterior features for the Maxima SV include automatic on/off headlights, foglights, LED taillights, chrome exhaust finishers and power exterior mirrors with integrated LED turn signals. Inside, the Maxima SV comes well-equipped with a number of upscale features, including leather upholstery, an 8-way power-adjustable driver's seat with power lumbar support, a 4-way power-adjustable passenger seat, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and Nissan's Intelligent Key with push-button start. Other standard features include dual-zone automatic climate control, an auto-dimming rear-view mirror, Bluetooth, power windows and door locks, and a tilt/telescoping steering with illuminated steering-wheel-mounted cruise and audio controls. Nissan also includes a power sliding moonroof and an 8-speaker AM/FM audio system with an in-dash 6-CD changer and an audio input jack.

A 3.5-liter V6 engine powers the Maxima SV. The V6 produces 290 hp and 261 lb-ft of torque, and mates to an Xtronic CVT transmission with a manual-shift mode. Fuel economy numbers check in at 19/26 mpg. Standard safety features include Nissan's Advanced Air Bag System, as well as Vehicle Dynamic Control with traction control. The Maxima SV rides on new 18-inch aluminum-alloy wheels with Fine Silver finish and all-season tires, although owners can upgrade to 19-inch wheels as an option.
