Overview of 2012 Mercedes-Benz C-Class C250 Coupe By R. Feeman
The Mercedes-Benz C250 Coupe joins the C-Class lineup for 2012, one of two new C-Class coupe trims. Power comes from a turbocharged 1.8-liter 4-cylinder engine, which generates 201 hp and 229 lb-ft of torque. It powers the rear-wheel-drive C250 Coupe from 0-60 in 7.1 seconds. The engine, which requires premium fuel, connects to a 7-speed automatic transmission with the Touch Shift manual-shift feature and paddle shifters. Fuel economy numbers check in at 21/31 mpg. The C250 Coupe rides on a lowered sport-tuned suspension and 17-inch wheels. Standard safety equipment includes an electronic stability control system, antilock brakes, brake assist, rain-sensing windshield wipers and 9 airbags. Attention Assist, which alerts drivers if they're becoming drowsy, also comes standard.
Outside, the C250 Coupe displays a number of updates given to all 2012 C-Class trims, including restyled bumpers, headlights, taillights and a new aluminum hood, as well as sport body styling, which adds a front apron with mesh air intakes, sculpted side sills and a rear skirt. Inside, new C-Class features include a redesigned dashboard, restyled air vents, new controls and a new center console. The C250 Coupe's sport cabin styling also includes a three-spoke steering wheel, aluminum trim and rubber-studded aluminum sport pedals. Sport front seats, a 14-way power-adjustable driver's seat with power lumbar, dual-zone automatic climate control, Bluetooth, HD radio, a SmartKey remote controller and auto-dimming interior and driver-side mirrors are among the other standard features. Mercedes also includes a 5.8-inch color LCD display for the audio system and other interior functions, accessed through steering-wheel-mounted controls.
This overview covers the C250 Coupe trim only.
