2012 Mazda MAZDA3 i Sport w/ R Production Trim Overview

Early versions of the 2012 Mazda MAZDA3 i Sport with the R production code, produced before August 2011, come with a slightly different list of standard features and exterior design elements than trims produced after that date. For power, the MAZDA3 i Sport with R Production comes equipped with a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine generating 148 hp and 135 lb-ft of torque. The engine links to either a 5-speed manual transmission with overdrive, which comes standard, or an optional 5-speed electronically controlled Sport automatic transmission with Adaptive Shift Logic and a manual-shift mode. Fuel economy numbers check in at 25/33 mpg with either transmission.
