2012 Mazda MAZDA3 i Grand Touring Trim Overview

The luxury-oriented Mazda MAZDA3 i Grand Touring compact sedan displays a freshened exterior design for 2012 and receives a new powerplant as well. Outside, the i Grand Touring gets new front and rear bumpers, a redesigned front grille and updated front headlights, as well as new 16-inch wheels with all-season radial tires. Under the hood, it also receives a new fuel-efficient 2.0-liter 4-cylinder SkyActiv engine, which produces a lively 155 hp and 148 lb-ft of torque. The powerplant posts fuel economy numbers of 27/39 mpg when linked to a new SkyActive-MT 6-speed manual transmission with overdrive, and a slightly better 28/40 when mated to a new SkyActiv-Drive 6-speed electronically controlled Sport automatic transmission with a manual-shift mode.
