2012 Lexus IS 250 AWD Trim Overview

The 2012 Lexus IS 250 AWD compact luxury sedan delivers optimal traction and stability in all types of driving conditions, thanks to its all-wheel-drive system, which automatically directs power to the wheels with the most traction when it detects slippage. The AWD system works in conjunction with a 2.5-liter V6 engine, which produces 204 hp and 185 lb-ft of torque. The V6 mates to a 6-speed automatic transmission with steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters, enabling fingertip manual shifting. Fuel economy numbers check in at 20/27 mpg. Standard safety features include the automaker's Vehicle Dynamics Integrated Management system, which integrates Vehicle Stability Control, traction control, braking and steering to help minimize loss of traction in a turn. Hill Start Assist, 4-wheel antilock brakes with electronic brakeforce distribution and brake assist, and Smart Stop Technology are also included.

Inside, the IS 250's upscale cabin comes equipped with such luxury-oriented features as leather upholstery, heated front seats with 10-way power adjustment, black metallic trim and a power tilt/slide moonroof. A leather-wrapped shift knob and a tilt/telescopic steering wheel with audio, cruise, phone and display controls are also included. A 13-speaker, 194-watt Premium Audio System features a 6-CD changer, Bluetooth, automatic sound leveling, music streaming and SiriusXM satellite radio. Outside, the IS 250 displays such exterior features as a classic front end and grille, a sculpted hood, aerodynamic side lower body panels, LED taillights and dual chrome exhaust pipes, as well as 17-inch wheels. New exterior colors for 2012 include Nebula Gray Pearl and Fire Agate Pearl. An available F Sport Package adds 18-inch wheels, a sport-tuned suspension, a unique grille and front-lip and rear-deck spoilers, as well as upgraded seats inside.
