Overview of 2012 Jeep Liberty Arctic By Michael Perkins
The Arctic trim of the 2012 Jeep Liberty is primarily a cosmetics group, offering four unique paint treatments: Bright White, Winter Chill, Bright Silver and Mineral Gray. There are additional exterior treatments as well, such as a black hood decal, hard badges on the fenders, dark tint glass, blacked-out headlights and black 16-inch alloy wheels. The Liberty Arctic also gets you white-faced gauges inside, along with special dark gray upholstery with white and orange accents that continue on to the trim for items like the steering wheel and armrests. But the changes aren’t all aesthetic, with tow hooks, fog lamps and an Infinity stereo with 6.5-inch touchscreen and 8 speakers with a subwoofer. It’s all powered by a 3.7-liter V6 with 4-speed automatic transmission augmented by a 2-speed transfer case, 4WD and hill ascent and descent control. Front seats are still heated, and a full power package includes heated power mirrors and remote keyless entry. You’ll get automatic headlights and a garage door opener, and white-lettered MOPAR slush mats. Traction and stability control are joined by front-seat active head retraints, traction and stability control, 4-wheel antilock discs and 4 standard airbags.
This overview covers the Arctic trim only.
