2012 Honda Civic EX Trim Overview

The well-equipped 2012 Honda Civic EX sedan adds a number of standard features not found on lower-end Civic trims, including a one-touch power moonroof with a tilt feature, Bluetooth, an exterior temperature gauge and a fold-down center armrest for the second row. The 160-watt audio package with an MP3/CD player, speed-sensitive volume and an input jack also upgrades to a 6-speaker system. In addition, the EX comes equipped with Honda's new 6.5-inch LCD intelligent Multi-Information Display (i-MID), which handles audio, Bluetooth and general vehicle information. Other standard features for the EX include air conditioning with air filtration, cruise control, a tilt/telescopic steering wheel and power windows and door locks. Interior safety equipment includes dual-stage front, front-side and side-curtain airbags. Outside, folding power mirrors and auto-off headlights are among the standard features.

A 1.8-liter i-VTEC 4-cylinder engine drives the Civic EX. The engine generates 140 hp and 128 lb-ft of torque, and mates to a 5-speed automatic transmission. Thanks to minor engine tweaking this year, the powerplant posts improved fuel economy numbers of 28/39 mpg. Vehicle stability control, traction control, antilock brakes, electronic brakeforce distribution, and brake assist are all included with the standard equipment package. The Civic EX sits on 16-inch alloy wheels with all-season tires.
