2012 Honda CR-V LX Trim Overview

The Honda CR-V LX, redesigned for 2012, seats 5 passengers in its roomy, well-equipped interior. High-quality materials and soft-touch surfaces give the cabin an upscale feel, while a new Easy Fold-Down 60/40 split rear seat, which automatically folds nearly flat at the flick of a lever, makes it easy to reconfigure the cabin for passengers or cargo. Other new standard features for the 2012 CR-V LX include Bluetooth and a new multi-angle rear-view camera. In addition, the entry-level LX receives Honda's new 5-inch LCD intelligent Multi-Information Display (i-MID), which handles audio, Bluetooth and general vehicle information, as well as Pandora music streaming and a new SMS text messaging function that reads incoming texts and allows drivers to respond vocally using compatible Bluetooth-equipped smart phones. Remote keyless entry, power windows and door locks, cruise control, a tilt/telescopic multifunction steering wheel with audio controls, and a 4-speaker, 160-watt AM/FM audio system with a CD player and an input jack are among the other standard features.

A 2.4-liter, i-VTEC DOHC 4-cylinder engine, producing 185 hp and 164 lb-ft of torque, powers the front-wheel-drive CR-V LX. The engine links to a 5-speed automatic transmission, which is the only transmission offered, and posts fuel economy numbers of 23 mpg city/31 highway. Standard safety features include 6 airbags as well as stability control and antilock brakes with brake assist and electronic brakeforce distribution. Outside, power folding mirrors and auto-off headlights are included in the standard equipment package.
