2012 Honda CR-V EX Trim Overview

The 2012 Honda CR-V EX compact crossover SUV comes equipped with a number of standard features not found on the entry-level CR-V LX trim, including a power moonroof, privacy glass, an illuminated vanity mirror and 17-inch alloy wheels. Like the LX, the EX also includes Honda's new Easy Fold-Down 60/40 split rear seat, which automatically folds nearly flat at the flick of a lever, making it easy to reconfigure the cabin for passengers or cargo. In addition, the EX comes equipped with a new 5-inch LCD intelligent Multi-Information Display (i-MID), which handles audio, Bluetooth and general vehicle information, as well as Pandora music streaming and a new voice-oriented text messaging function. Other standard features on the EX include remote keyless entry, power windows and door locks, cruise control, a tilt/telescopic multifunction steering wheel with audio controls and a 4-speaker, 160-watt AM/FM audio system with a CD player and an input jack.

Power for the EX comes from a 2.4-liter, i-VTEC DOHC 4-cylinder engine, which links to a 5-speed automatic. The engine produces 185 hp and 164 lb-ft of torque and manages fuel economy numbers of 23/31 mpg. Standard equipment for the EX also includes a new Hill Start Assist feature, which prevents rollback when the vehicle is started on an incline. Standard safety features include 6 airbags, as well as stability control and antilock brakes with brake assist and electronic brakeforce distribution. Outside, power folding mirrors and auto-off headlights are included in the EX's standard equipment package.
