The Honda CR-V EX-L with Navigation, which received a full redesign for 2012, comes equipped with a number of upscale, tech, and safety features, including Honda's Satellite-Linked Navigation System. It features a 6.5-inch display and 16GB of flash memory, and provides turn-by-turn driving directions. The navigation system integrates with the CR-V's new intelligent Multi-Information Display (i-MID), which also handles audio, Bluetooth and general vehicle information, as well as Pandora music streaming and a new voice-oriented text messaging function. Other standard upscale features on the EX-L include leather upholstery, heated front seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a 10-way power-adjustable driver's seat, and a 328-watt, 7-speaker AM/FM audio system with XM satellite radio. A power moonroof, dual-zone automatic climate control, keyless entry, tilt/telescopic steering wheel, cruise control, and power windows and door locks are among the EX-L's other standard features. In addition, the EX-L receives a new Easy Fold-Down 60/40 split rear seat, which automatically folds nearly flat at the flick of a lever, making it easy to reconfigure the cabin for passengers or cargo. Outside, heated power side mirrors and auto-off headlights are among the standard features.
A 2.4-liter, i-VTEC DOHC 4-cylinder engine powers the EX-L with Navigation. The engine links to a 5-speed automatic transmission and produces 185 hp and 164 lb-ft of torque. The powerplant posts fuel economy numbers of 23/31 mpg. A Hill Assist feature, also new for 2012, helps prevent rollback when the vehicle is started on an incline. The EX-L comes equipped with such standard safety features as 6 airbags as well as stability control and antilock brakes with brake assist and electronic brakeforce distribution. The Honda CR-V EX-L with Navigation rides on 17-inch alloy wheels with all-season tires.
