2012 Honda CR-V EX-L w/ Nav AWD Trim Overview

Redesigned and well-equipped for 2012, the Honda CR-V EX-L with Navigation and AWD offers a full range of upscale, tech and safety features, starting with Honda's Satellite-Linked Navigation System, which features a 6.5-inch display and 16GB of flash memory. The system provides turn-by-turn driving directions and integrates with the CR-V's new intelligent Multi-Information Display (i-MID), which also handles audio, Bluetooth and general vehicle information. In addition, the i-MID system offers Pandora music streaming and a voice-oriented text messaging function, both new for 2012. Other luxury-oriented features on the EX-L include leather upholstery, heated front seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and a 10-way power-adjustable driver's seat. For entertainment, the EX-L comes equipped with a 328-watt, 7-speaker AM/FM audio system, which includes XM satellite radio. Among the other standard features on the EX-L are a power moonroof, dual-zone automatic climate control, keyless entry, tilt/telescopic steering wheel, cruise control and power windows and door locks. In addition, the EX-L receives a new Easy Fold-Down 60/40 split rear seat, which automatically folds nearly flat at the flick of a lever. Standard exterior features include heated power side mirrors and auto-off headlights.

To ensure stability and overall capability on the road, the EX-L with Navigation and AWD comes equipped with a revamped electronically controlled Real Time AWD system with intelligence, which provides smoother overall operation than the mechanically activated all-wheel-drive system it replaces. The AWD system channels power from a 2.4-liter, i-VTEC DOHC 4-cylinder engine, which links to a 5-speed automatic transmission. The powerplant generates 185 hp and 164 lb-ft of torque, and posts fuel economy numbers of 22/30 mpg. A Hill Start Assist system, also new for 2012, helps prevent rollback when starting the vehicle on an incline. Standard safety features include 6 airbags, as well as stability control and antilock brakes with brake assist and electronic brakeforce distribution. The CR-V EX-L with Navigation and AWD rides on 17-inch alloy wheels with all-season tires.
