bought one because:

The 2012 Escape Limited has all the features of almost all 2015 models. Anyone complaining of a lack of power has a 4 cyl. The V6 is very fast and other SUV"s, BMW etc. Have nothing on the escape. Premium sound is great and I spent years in high end audio. Voice recognition audio and full na igation. Backup camera with proxi.it alerts. I've never has any mechanical problems. It has a DVD player and a real or button which transfer an a tire CD to the in car hard drive. I have 6000 songs on the drive at 192 kbps. It also takes a USB flash drive. I have a 256gb USB drive with 50,000 songs. The USB also charges phones. There is an ax input. 9 speakers and subwoofer. The 2013 on has no hard drive. The biggest difference. The new escape is ugly. Does not look like an SUV like the 2012. The 2012 has more, storage room, back seat room and front seat room. There are, hundreds of reader comments on Motoweek and also where all stating how ugly the new escape looks. One description is a tennis shoe on wheels. From several and less it looks like a minivan. I leased my 2012 Limited with my plan to exchange it for a 2015. I stead I bought my 2012. The 2016 will look the same with minor taillight and headlight changes. How any response iewer says the 2012 looks dated has their eyes closed. Maybe they have not noticed that Most new Mercedes SUV are totally boxy and very expensive and selling a lot. I've told Ford that when they return to an SUV rather than the girly asian looking station wagon, then I will buy one. Also, has anyone noticed that the Ford Edge and Explorer look more like a 2012 Escape than the 2015 Escape. I love my car. Born and raised in Detroit, the home of Ford. I do not want a Hyundai knockoff. Ford has, even run TV ads ibtoducing the designer of the latest Escape. What a surprise, An Asian woman. I want unique, not a mee too vehicle. The 2012 not only has more room and storage, it also has more storage cubbies. Also a large hidden storage compartment under the storage area carpet.

Pros

Great SUV for the money.

Cons

I feel it should get a little better gas mileage.  Mostly city driving and getting 17 mile per gallon.

The Last Automobile I Will Ever Own (i Hope) — Since I am only averaging somewhere around 5-6,000 mile a year and only have 29,000 miles on the SUV now, it should and can get me to the day I give up driving altogether. ( I hope). The automobile is so easy to drive with great road handling and it is very comfortable. It also has all the bells and whistles that you could ever want, with cargo space galore, 17" tires and it is a beautiful car to look at. What more can I say. I love the car.

Smart! — I loved the room for the grandkids and fuel economy:-) It was easy on fuel for my trips to my jobs and looked great! A good value for anyone looking for a family vehicle that doesn't look like a mini van!

I really love the look of this body style - 2012 is the last year of its availability. The rear seat is really easy to collapse and provide a large cargo space for trips to Home Depot!

Cons

None yet.

Love My Sporty Escape! — I've owned this SUV since April 2013. It was a former rental and came with 35k miles on it -- but was very well maintained and I've had no problems. I've driven it about 8k miles on long road trips alone in the past year! I use it to go tent camping, carry my kayak on top, plus 2 dogs inside. Plenty spacious for just me, if you have more than 2 kids go for an Explorer.

I Love It! — I'm a new Ford comer. I have always had a Chrysler up until now. I like it. Its fast, easy on the eyes, not a flaw in her. I love driving her. Her acceleration is great. I have a V6 4WD Limited & loving it. Ford has impressed me!!

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

I Would So Get Another One!! — I couldn't stand giving up my 11' Escape XLT 4WD V6, so, i got a 2012 Limited. I love my car & wouldn't want to get anything else. I love driving her, she's good on gas, no repairs needed, awsome truck all the way through.

Pros

Everything, mostly I love the way it U turns. It's very easy to get in and out.  Load up the seat. Good gas mileage in the town/city.  Love the computer and the backup camera.

Cons

I haven't found much.  Little noisy.  Arm rest is in an awkward position for me.  I need a power lift thing for the rear door.

I Really Like It — Nothing really, it is what I wanted in the first place a baby SUV. I'm 70 and love the convenience of a SUV but most were to big, unnecessary for me. Drives really well on the expressway and very well in town. Parks like a dream.

Handles great. 28MPG. Great all around car

Cons

Couldn't haul a horse trailer with it, but it wasn't meant for it!

Loved It — Handled well in the winter. Great MPG. Lots of room. Good for kids and pets. Moon roof was awesome. The Sync system was more interactive than OnStar. XM radio was a super bonus. Highly recommend to anyone considering themselves a road warrior.
