2012 Ford Edge SE Fleet AWD Trim Overview

The 2012 Ford Edge SE Fleet AWD is equipped with Ford's all-wheel-drive system, which redirects torque to the wheels with the most traction when it detects slippage. The SE AWD comes standard with a 3.5-liter V6 engine producing 285 hp and 253 lb-ft of torque. Fuel economy numbers for the V6 check in at 18/25 mpg for the all-wheel-drive SE. The V6 connects to a 6-speed SelectShift automatic transmission with a rocker button on the shifter, so drivers can manually change gears. (Ford does not offer its new fuel-efficient EcoBoost engine in all-wheel-drive trims.). Standard safety features for the Edge SE Fleet AWD include Ford's AdvanceTrac traction control system with Roll Stability Control, as well as dual front side-mounted airbags and front and rear head curtain airbags.

Ford makes its SYNC communications and entertainment system available as an option for the SE Fleet AWD for the first time in 2012. The SE Fleet AWD also comes equipped with a well-rounded list of standard features, including reclining front bucket seats, reclining 60/40-split fold-flat rear seats, a tilt/telescopic steering wheel, cruise control, cloth upholstery, air conditioning, power windows and door locks, and 8 cupholders. Ford's MyKey system, which makes it easy for owners to set limits for top speed and radio volume, also comes standard. Drivers can access the MyKey system using a 4.2-inch LCD display located in the instrument cluster. A 6-speaker AM/FM audio system includes a CD/MP3 player and audio input jack, while owners can add SiriusXM satellite radio as an option. Exterior design features include a three-bar chrome grille, a new rear spoiler, polished dual exhaust tips, projector-beam halogen headlights and power mirrors with integrated blind-spot monitors. The 2012 Edge SE Fleet AWD rides on 17-inch aluminum wheels.
