It's A Beast — I like this car (despite the poor fuel economy) because it has every new gadget on it - and they all work well - it has a masculine interior that I like, and it is stout enough to pull 7,400 lbs. So, I can feel secure in it, look good in it, and pull my heavy trailer on weekends. Oh yeah, the ventilated front seats blow cool air up my rear on hot days....

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Powerful Family Hauler — In Europe we don't have many options for 7seating. All the tiny asian or Opel Zafira's are a joke in manner of space and comfort and you have to pay much more for the same options which you have standard in the Durango. The sound of the Hemi is so nice. I enjoy it every thay to start it. However it could have some more power. 360HP for a 2,500kg car is on the lower side to call it SportUV. This car would be the best example of a V8 Supercharger combo. Especially with the, I have to say, lousy 6 speed tranny. Who has decided to have this poor ratios. 1st Gear to til 80km/h and 2nd till 130km/h? That's a waste of power as on hilly roads (we live in Switzerland) requires you to floor it all the time. This however will throw you in 1st Gear where you can accelerate to 80km/h and than it falls completly on its face on a 10% ascending road. If you are above 60km/h it will not downshift and therefore you are slow as a slug. I/ve never driven such a badly geared tranny. That's the most annoying and disappointing thing on the car but as well the only really sad thing. With better gearig the fuel economy would be much better too, soo this point is related to the bad tranny point. Besides that I love this car. It gives you huge cargo area and is able to handle 7 persons. I would buy it everytime again, especially if it would have the 8 speed which will come for the V6 ;-)
