2012 Cadillac SRX Performance AWD Trim Overview

The luxury-oriented 2012 Cadillac SRX Performance AWD midsize crossover vehicle, which receives a new V6 engine for 2012, delivers optimal handling and stability, thanks to its standard all-wheel-drive (AWD) system, which features advanced torque vectoring and adds an electronic limited-slip differential. This allows the AWD system to move torque not only between the front and rear wheels, but also from side-to-side along the rear axle. The system works with a new 3.6-liter V6 engine, which generates 308 hp and 265 lb-ft of torque. The FlexFuel-capable engine links to a 6-speed HydraMatic automatic transmission with a driver-selectable ECO mode, and posts fuel economy numbers of 16 mpg city/23 highway with regular gasoline and 12/17 when using E85 fuel. Standard safety features for the SRX Performance AWD include the StabiliTrak electronic stability control system, traction control and 4-wheel antilock brakes with brake assist, as well as 6 airbags.

Outside, the SRX Performance AWD displays a sleek, stylish exterior design, with such standard features as HID headlights with an Adaptive Forward Lighting System, front foglights, daytime running lights and upgraded windshield wipers with automatic Rainsense detection. Chrome roof rails and heated power folding side mirrors with driver's-side auto-dimming are also included, along with a power liftgate, LED taillights and 20-inch wheels with a bright machined finish and painted accents. In addition, Cadillac adds a new Xenon Blue Metallic exterior color for 2012. Inside the comfortable, upscale cabin, such luxury-oriented features as leather upholstery, ambient lighting, an Ultraview power tilt/slide sunroof, a navigation system with an 8-inch glide-up touchscreen and a panoramic rear-view camera come standard. The upgraded 10-speaker Bose 5.1 Surround Sound audio system includes a 10GB hard drive, Bluetooth, SiriusXM satellite radio, a USB port and an auxiliary input jack. In addition, the SRX Performance AWD receives a new all-ebony interior color option and a new heated steering wheel made from Sapele wood, with a tilt/telescopic steering column and integrated audio and cruise controls. The heated front seats feature 8-way power adjustment, with memory settings and manually adjustable thigh support for the driver. Other standard features include power-adjustable pedals with memory, remote keyless entry with push-button start, dual-zone climate control, ultrasonic park assist and a cargo management system, as well as power windows and door locks. In addition, Cadillac includes its OnStar system with one year of the Directions & Connections plan.
