The 2012 Acura TSX Sport Wagon, which receives no new updates for 2012, delivers a comfortable, upscale ride, with plenty of cargo space and good performance, thanks to its well-reviewed V6 engine. The 3.5-liter VTEC aluminum-alloy powerplant, which drives the Wagon through the front wheels, generates 280 hp and 254 lb-ft of torque. It mates to a 5-speed Sequential SportShift automatic transmission with steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters. In addition, an S mode reconfigures transmission shift points for a sportier driving experience. Fuel economy numbers check in at 19/28 mpg. Standard safety features include the Vehicle Stability Assist system, which incorporates electronic stability control and traction control, as well as 6 airbags and antilock disc brakes with electronic brakeforce distribution and brake assist.
The TSX Sport Wagon offers 31.5 cubic feet of cargo space in the rear trunk area with the 60/40-split rear seatbacks up and in place, and 66.2 cubic feet with the rear seatbacks folded down. Perforated leather upholstery comes standard, along with dual-level heated front sport seats and a leather-wrapped steering wheel with audio, cruise and Bluetooth controls. The driver's seat features 8-way power adjustment, while the passenger seat gets 4-way power adjustment. The standard 7-speaker, 360-watt audio system includes a 6-CD changer, SiriusXM satellite radio, USB interface, an MP3 input jack and a subwoofer. Other standard features include a power moonroof, dual-zone automatic climate control, remote keyless entry and power windows and door locks. Outside, the TSX Sport Wagon displays such features as a double-plenum front grille, a black mesh lower front air intake, HID headlights, integrated front foglights, roof rails and a power liftgate. It also receives 18-inch aluminum-alloy wheels with high-performance all-season tires.
