2011 Ram 1500 Sport Trim Level Overview

Hemi-powered and high-steppin’, the 2011 Ram 1500 Sport ups the ante on the competition. This full-size pickup can be delivered with either the Regular Cab, with its accompanying two-passenger bucket-seat configuration and standard 6.4-foot bed, or in five-passenger Quad Cab and Crew Cab versions, also with front bucket seats, with the smaller Quad Cab sporting the 6.4-foot bed and the roomy Crew Cab Sport available with only the 5.7-foot bed. Additionally, all cab variants are available in either standard rear-wheel-drive configuration (RWD) or with available on-demand four-wheel drive (4WD).

Standard appearance features and cabin goodies include 20-inch alloy wheels and trailer wiring, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, tilt-wheel steering, cruise control, upgraded cabin accents and trim, air conditioning, remote power door locks, power windows and heated mirrors, and a universal remote garage door opener. Standard entertainment and communication comes via a single-CD player with six speakers, DVD-capable monitor, a USB connection, satellite radio and Bluetooth hands-free cell-phone technology.

Options for the 2011 Ram 1500 Sport include a premium 10-speaker audio system, dual-zone climate control, Garmin navigation, UConnect/Bluetooth voice-activation technology for audio and communications systems, leather-trimmed upholstery, power sunroof, a Class IV trailer hitch, integrated trailer brake controller, chrome side-steps and bed rails, and a spray-in bed liner, and, in Quad and Crew Cab versions, rear-seat DVD entertainment.

Standard safety features in the 2011 Ram 1500 Sport include four-wheel antilock brakes (ABS), traction and stability control, front side-mounted airbags, and front, and in Quad and Crew Cab versions, rear head airbags. Further standard safety items include front fog/driving lights, turn-signal-integrated mirrors and dusk-sensing headlights. Available safety equipment includes a remote antitheft alarm that comes with the remote-engine start option.

Powering all 2011 Ram 1500 Sport trims is a 5.7-liter Hemi V8 accompanied by the standard 5-speed transmission with brake hill holder and limited-slip rear differential. This combo puts out 390 hp and a hefty 407 lb-ft of torque, and will tow some 10,000 pounds with the proper equipment. Mileage is an estimated 14 mpg city/20 highway in RWD trims and 13/19 in 4WD trims. The Sport versions with part-time 4WD boast electronic hi-lo gear selection and auto-locking hubs, while an auxiliary transmission cooler is standard across the lineup.
