Overview of 2011 Nissan Murano SL By Michael Perkins
The driver gets a bit of the royal treatment in the SL trim of the 2011 Nissan Murano. With added leather upholstery, power heated front bucket seats and a heated steering wheel, there’s little room for complaint. There’s also a memory system for the driver’s seat and the power mirrors, and the seatbacks gain power return as well here. The stereo is likewise upgraded to a Bose system with hard drive, and the power package of mirrors, windows, doors and sunroof is upgraded with a power liftgate. Rain-sensing wipers and automatic headlights mean you can concentrate on the road, while foglights and a rear-view camera improve visibility front and back. Remote-keyless entry, access and start are complemented by a garage door opener, meaning your keys never need to leave your pocket. The tilt and telescoping steering wheel is leather-wrapped and has audio controls as well. There are roof rails for extra cargo storage, and the rear-view is upgraded to an automatic day/night unit here. The Murano is powered by a 3.5-liter V6 engine that comes exclusively with a continuously variable automatic transmission. All Murano trims come well-equipped with regard to safety as well, with 4-wheel antilock discs sitting behind the 18-inch alloys, six standard airbags, traction and stability control and front-seat active head restraints.
This overview covers the SL trim only.
