Very Solid Car. Certainly A Turning Point For Ford In This Segment. By Eitan

Overview of 2011 Mercury Milan I4 Premier By Eric Tallberg
The high end of the Milan lineup is represented by the front-wheel-drive (FWD) 2011 Mercury Milan I4 Premier midsize five-passenger sedan. Adding such optional appearance, comfort, and convenience features as a power moonroof, 12-speaker, 390-watt Sony premium audio system, rear-view camera, upgraded 18-inch aluminum wheels, and voice-activated DVD navigation complements such standard I4 Premier amenities as 17-inch alloy wheels, leather-trimmed upholstery, power-adjustable heated front seats, power accessories, including heated outside mirrors and one-touch power windows all around, cruise control, universal remote garage door opener, SYNC technology, dual-zone climate control, and Bluetooth hands-free communications technology.
Standard safety features for the 2011 Milan I4 Premier, meantime, include four-wheel ABS, traction and stability control, front side-mounted airbags, front and rear head airbags, remote anti-theft alarm, a post-collision safety system, front fog/driving lights, and SYNC collision and airbag deployment notification. Ford’s blind-spot information system (BLIS) and rear alert sensors are optional safety features.
Standard power for the 2011 Milan I4 Premier comes from a 175-hp, 172-lb-ft/torque, variable-valve-timed 2.5-liter inline four-cylinder engine that combines with the standard six-speed automatic transmission for an estimated 23/33 mpg. If, however, a bit more oomph is desired, the I4 Premier is also available with a 3.0-liter, 240-hp, 223-lb-ft/torque Flex Fuel V6 powerplant and six-speed auto-manual transmission, but this option makes it a V6 Premier. The six-banger is estimated to get an average of some 22 mpg.
This overview covers the I4 Premier trim only.
