Overview of 2011 Mercedes-Benz E-Class E350 Sport By Michael Perkins

The 2011 Mercedes-Benz E350 is no base trim level, with a list of features and amenities that would make most top-tier trims cringe in jealousy. Powered by a 3.5-liter V6, the E350 gets a shiftable 7–speed automatic transmission. Open the door and you’ll be greeted by dual-zone automatic climate control, vinyl upholstery and 14-way power front bucket seats. The front seats, heated power mirrors and power tilt and telescoping leather-wrapped steering wheel are all controlled by a standard memory system. Wood interior trim evokes the luxury Mercedes hopes to achieve, backed up by features like a full power package including sunroof, rain-sensing wipers, Bluetooth and a 6-CD and MP3 player. Cruise control, tachometer and trip computer are all included, of course. You’ll also get daytime running lights, automatic headlights and front and rear foglights.

Safety is a similarly thorough affair, with traction and stability control standard, as well as driver fatigue alert, a pre-crash safety system, four-wheel antilock discs with brake assist and a myriad of airbags including front, front-side, front hip-protecting, driver’s knee, and front and rear curtain bags.

This overview covers the E350 Sport trim only.
