2011 Mazda MAZDA3 s Grand Touring Hatchback Review
ProsGreat handling/power. Comfortable interior ConsThe fuel economy

Great Car, Comfortable And Performant — My wife and I share this car. We've had it for 3 months, and it's been great so far. It's comfortable, handles well, and it zooms. The backseat legroom isn't wonderful, and the mileage - well, did I mention the zoom? We don't drive that many miles because we commute to work on public transit, so mileage ended up being a secondary concern for us. The hatchback is great for moving stuff. Primary Use: Family transportation

Good Little Car For The Money, But If You Can Spend Extra 4-6k There Are Better Cars Out There. — It's a nice little car. A bit underpowered and the interior noise is quite bad. But it's pretty responsive and handles quite well. The interior features are good. It's quite cheap and for the money this car is pretty good. You won't be racing anyone in this, but it's still pretty fun to drive, especially if you get it with the manual transmission. Primary Use: Commuting to work

Black 2008 Mazda3 Hatch — Great car! Bought it new and have never had an issue with it! Would highly recommend Mazda! Have added an aftermarket head unit with Nav and Bluetooth and tinted the windows. Has the 2.3L in it and has plenty of power. Handles incredibly well! Primary Use: Family transportation

ProsWith the rear seats folded down, this car is able to hold something the full length of a queen sized mattress (like the boxes to build a Queen sized bed frame from Ikea) ConsBeing a non-skyactive model, in the city it will only get 17 mpg. You have to use almost exclusively long-trip highway miles to get anywhere near 30mpg.

Awesome Looks, Great Interior, Good Power, Mediocre Gas Mileage — This car looks great, handles well, has way more storage capacity than it looks like it would, excellent visibility, but only so-so on the gas mileage. It's something that I'm alright with, I would trade the few mpg to be able to punch the gas and instantly go. Primary Use: Commuting to work

Good Car, Fun To Drive, Hatch Back Has A Lot Of Space — Purchased at the end of Feb 2011 with 28 miles, now at the end of Dec 2011 I have over 20,000 miles. I have a 50 mile ride to work oneway. so I spend a lot of time in my car. Performance - Plenty of power for passing on the highway Build Quality - The car has no noticable squeeks or rattles as of yet Cost of Ownership - I get about 27 mpg mostly highway Fun Factor - 6 speed manual is a lot of fun Primary Use: Commuting to work

Way More Fun Than A Corolla Or A Civic — Best-in-class engine performance that harms fuel economy. Mazda is resolving that detriment in the next generation of engines. Firm but not punishing ride with handling that stands up to my A4's. Clean and functional inside and out. Build quality is very good and it is a very fun car to drive. I care nothing for prestige or size so this is a great car for me. Primary Use: Commuting to work
