2011 Lexus IS 250 Trims

AWD

Avg. Price: $27,314

With the added stability of all-wheel drive, the 2011 Lexus IS 250 AWD maintains its composure with the added benefit of traction and stability control. Its 2.5-liter V6 is not overpowered by any means, and perhaps a bit underpowered, but at least you get the choice of a six-speed manual or shiftable automatic transmission. 17-inch wheels are a new design this year along with new bumpers and lights, front and back. Daytime LEDs are a new option as well, and complement the automatic headlights and foglights. Leather front bucket seats are heated and ventilated when you choose AWD for the IS 250, and dual-zone automatic climate controls are also included, along with a power sunroof for maximum comfort options. There are power windows, doors, and heated power mirrors with integrated turn signals. Remote keyless entry, access, and start are all included as well. The leather-wrapped steering wheel holds paddle shifters when you choose the automatic, as well as radio controls for the 6-CD/MP3 player. There’s a digital-media player connection, iPod adapter, and Bluetooth, all standard. For safety, you’ll find dual front, front-side, curtain-side, and front knee airbags, as well as four-wheel antilock disc brakes with brake assist.

Base

Avg. Price: $26,449

Making sure to retain its luxury image, Lexus has outfitted the Base trim of its 2011 Lexus IS 250 with a long list of upscale features. Here in rear-wheel-drive guise, it’s powered by a 2.5-liter V6 with the option of a six-speed manual or shiftable automatic transmission. It has new front and rear bumpers, as well as redesigned head- and taillights for 2011. You’ll also notice new 17-inch alloy wheels, although there are 18-inch units optionally available as well. Audi’s inclination toward LED daytime running lights has spilled over here, as they are a newly available option, but not a standard feature. Inside, you’ll find dual-zone automatic climate controls and leather upholstery for the 10-way power front bucket seats. Lexus wasn’t shy about power features either, with windows, locks, and sunroof all powered, as well as heated power mirrors with integrated turn signals. There’s also remote keyless entry, access, and start, so you’ll never have to use a key again. The 6-CD stereo plays MP3 files as well, with a digital-media connection and iPod adapter. Bluetooth is included, as well as auxiliary stereo controls on the leather-wrapped tilt and telescoping steering wheel. Headlights are automatic, and foglights are included as well. Safety is well under control with dual front, front-side, curtain-side, and even front knee airbags. Four-wheel antilock disc brakes are standard and come with brake assist. Traction and stability control are included as well, and a theft-deterrent system provides some security.
