2011 Kia Optima EX Review
ProsThis car is an OUTSTANDING value! With the luxury package you get a dual panoramic sunroof, heated and cooled front seats. Heated rear seats. Heated steering wheel. Memory driver's seat. Push button start and keyless entry. ConsThe factory tires are a little noisy. Instrument lighting on steering wheel and door controls is too dim.

Best Car For The Money...period. — This car makes you feel like you are driving a high-end BMW or Jag. It makes Lexus owners want to cry. Do yourself a favor and test drive one. You will go home a believer. P.S. I am a real person and this is a real review...not some con job from a dealer. Primary Use: Family transportation

2011 Kia Optima EX Review
Pros Get's wows for looks from both men and women. Is powerful(yet 35 mpg highway, we've done it!) for a 2.4L but so buttery smooth and nearly noise free. It's comfortable even on long trips and has all the stuff a much more expensive car has and more. The sunroof covers the entire roof! It has all 4 heated and front cooled seats and a heated steering wheel for God's sake! Conscould be more economical in town gets about 19-20 in cold 21-22 in warm weather on EPA of 24.

A Keeper And Then Some! — Being a guy I wish it was the Turbo but it's my wife's car. My wife didn't like driving before but now she even does some mild "road racer" moves and a little straight line "hot rodding" on rare occasion. See Pros Update Just returned from a 2200 mile vacation trip to Chicago and then Niagra Falls, Ontario. Not a single issue with the car. Everything worked properly, as expected, and using an additive got very good mileage both town and hiway (27.9 mpg combined as near as I can figure because Canadian gas is sold by the liter) that's approx. 350/1850 16% town/ 84%hiway. somewhat more favorable than the EPA's 30/70 but it is what it is. Driving in Chicago and Niagra Falls are both a nightmare, wall to wall people. We have about 22000 miles on her now and no rattles or squeaks, everything works as intended. Dealer just replaced the windshield wipers, cabin air filter, rotated the tires (3rd time) and changed the oil using blended synthetic and did his "multipoint check" all for $123 and we are good to go. Update: 23500 miles The ignition interlock switch on the brake pedal started sticking in the open position and the car wouldn't start. No cost to fix it but a nuisance stomping the pedal to free it to start the car. Was told this has been a common problem. Also got a screw in the sidewall on the left front tire that I had patched but it wouldn't hold. New set of Firestone Precision Touring tires yielded an amazing improvement in ride, road noise and control from OEM Nexen's. They aren't cheap but are worth every penny. Great Car, A Must Buy. Kia Is Here To Stay! — Wish I had more power, but it's in the SX trim with its 2.0L Turbocharged engine. Love the car though. Great room, great milage, great look. Kia's new direction is incredible and the prices for what you are getting is unbeatable.

Great Daily Driver — I bought this Kia as a replacement for a 2008 Infiniti M, and I have previously owned Cadillac, Chrysler, Buick and Acura. I was blown away by the power, style and comfort in this Kia, especially compared to the luxury brands I was considering. I have options on this car that I cannot get on some more expensive brands at any price. This Kia has smooth power and rides/handles on par with my Infiniti, while getting much better gas mileage and it runs on regular. I am really surprised how much I enjoy this car compared to the more expensive brands I had been driving. Primary Use: Commuting to work

Fantastic Machine — At 1st I said I would NEVER own a KIA!! Boy was I surprised when I took it for a road test. I went back to the dealer and drove home 2 hrs later in my new Kia. Wanna talk about fast....when that turbo kicks in its like a rocket. No as fast as my 911 but it would give it a run for the money!! Style, dependability, inexpensive maintenance and speed all in 1 car.
