One of the few changes for the 2011 Honda CR-V compact crossover lineup is the introduction of the lower-midlevel SE trim level. Notched just above the base LX, this five-passenger, front-wheel-drive (FWD) mini-ute offers standard 17-inch alloy wheels, cloth upholstery, front captain’s chairs, reclining rear seats, steering-wheel-mounted audio and cruise controls, telescoping tilt-wheel steering, power windows, door locks, and mirrors, air conditioning, a 160-watt single-CD audio system with an auxiliary MP3 audio input, four-wheel ABS, traction and stability control, side-mounted front airbags, front and rear head airbags, front head restraint whiplash protection, and daytime running lights. Options include a roof rack, step running boards, trailer hitch, upgraded cabin accents and alloy wheel choices, remote engine start, backup sensors, and front fog/driving lights.
Powering the 2011 CR-V SE is the standard (and only) 180-hp, 161-lb-ft/torque 2.4-liter inline four-cylinder (I4) engine that’s under the tutelage of a five-speed automatic transmission. Fuel efficiency is estimated at 21/28 mpg, while towing capacity is maxed out at 1,500 pounds with the available trailer hitch.
