Fantastic Vehicle — This is the best car I have ever owned. It looks fantastic, drives fantastic, is excellent on road trips, saved my tush in bad weather with the AWD, gets great gas mileage for an SUV of it's size, and it has spoiled me for life. I only wish it had a third row seat!

Nice And Roomy Family Car. — The Edge is an all-around nice ride! Smooth drive, has plenty of cargo space, lots of upgrades. I do feel safe and it is fun to drive. And, plenty of room for friends and family. I do recommend the Ford Edge for a family car!

Amazing, Beautiful, And Sporty — Havent had any problems yet currently at about 27,000 miles and of course still running strong as ever. The ride quality is very good, as well as the breaking and road noise is almost non-existent. Then there is the amazing sound system, that is if you have the sony sound option. I cant say for how good the standard sound system is but i assume its not to shabby.

Pros

Very good acceleration. Excellent fuel mileage that is at or above the EPA numbers posted on the sticker. Brakes - some on the best I have ever used. Great stopping ability. We have driven many SUV's in this segment and found that generally you need to spend $5k to $10k more to get the same features, performance, etc. as the Edge has.

Cons

Have not noticed any significant cons - just a great well designed vehicle

It Is Tough To Find A Better Car At This Price. — The 2011 was a change in body style for the Edge. We would suggest skipping the other models and just go straight to the Limited Model. It essentially has all that most people would need as standard equipment. We were quite surprised at how 'peppy' the Edge is with the standard V-6 engine. This car has brakes that feel and seem to stop quicker than came with out 2011 CTS Cadillac.

Great Crossover With Good Options Like A Luxury Vehicle For A Better Price. — I like the size for a car to run around town. Its easy to park and handles well. The backup camera is great along with the navigation. I have an AWD version and didn't have any trouble on icy and snowy roads.

Some things about Sync and MyFordTouch

Decent Vehicle — The thing I like in terms of this generation of Edge is the interior room. It definitely is wider versus the first generation. The 285 hp V6 has decent punch but the weak link is actually the transmission. It is definitely geared for economy because I have noticed a bit of a lag when I floor it. The handling is decent for a crossover. My wife likes the appearance of the vehicle and the amenities. The other knock on this generation is the sometimes problematic MyFordTouch. There are times that it tends to be slow in performing but works decently otherwise.

Ford Edge — The Ford Edge is easy to handle, easy to park, sleek, stylish and gets great gas mileage. The built in GPS and Ford Sync System are great for music, directions and information. You can get weather and sports updates. Awesome vehicle!!
