The 2011 Chevrolet Suburban LTZ 1500 represents the top trim level in the range, and as such it's loaded to the brim with comfort and convenience equipment. Available only on the half-ton chassis, the LTZ trim package includes Chevrolet's innovative AutoRide suspension, which uses adjustable dampers to ensure a smooth ride over any surface.
With 320 hp and 335 lb-ft of torque on tap, the Suburban LTZ 1500's 5.3-liter V8 engine gives decent, if not stellar, performance. The V8 is smooth and offers both a refined manner and the ability to run on E85 ethanol as well as gasoline. A six-speed automatic transmission drives the rear wheels through a locking rear differential.
Inside, the 2011 Suburban LTZ 1500 sets itself apart from lesser trims with special perforated leather seats that are heated in both the first and second rows, standard GPS navigation with a rear-view camera, and a power-operated liftgate. Other standard niceties include a a Bose Centerpoint stereo with ten speakers, memory seats, and an auto-dimming rear-view mirror. Outside, the Suburban LTZ 1500 gets 20-inch alloy wheels shod with performance tires and integrated turn signals in the mirrors.
