2011 Cadillac CTS 3.0L Performance Trim Overview

Though it's name implies otherwise, the 2011 CTS 3.0L Performance trim doesn't offer a measurable speed advantage over the more pedestrian CTS trims. Rather the CTS 3.0L Performance sedan gets a number of exterior upgrades that contribute to a sportier look.

Under the hood the 3.0-liter V6 engine makes good noises and revs smoothly, but its lack of torque means the CTS Performance trim has a bit of trouble living up to its name. Also contradictory is the lack of a manual gearbox; the CTS Performance gets a six-speed automatic as the only transmission choice.

Outside the CTS 3.0L Performance trim features 18-inch alloy wheels that improve both the car's looks and cornering ability. A sport-tuned suspension and xenon headlamps round out the package. Inside the standard equipment mirrors the CTS Luxury trim, while the longer options list is full of enticing upgrades like navigation, remote keyless start and ventilated seats.
