Pros

A very smooth ride, easy to handle for a large car and fun to drive. Gas mileage is good for an SUV. Seats are comfy, front and back. Cargo space is good.

Cons

The headlights could be brighter - they're somewhat confusing. The seat should be powered as a standard option. Also, the paint doesn't hold up well and the body seems to ding easily.

A Good Family Sports Car Safe For Bad Weather — I already mentioned my issues with the car in cons. I'll add one more though -- I had a base that was customized with a premium package (ordered by another customer apparently) only available for sports and limited models. Then, I had leather seats added by the dealer. So although my car is listed as a base, there are no categories that include the options I have to value it properly on websites and even at the dealer.

Pros

low maintenance cost
legroom, i'm 5-11 190lbs and i can stretch my legs all the way out
back seats are big. We have a 17 month old and just upgraded to a toddler car seat and it fits no problem with plenty of room for two more people.  We don't have the third row seat and love the under storage of the cargo space.

Cons

wish it could have a little better gas mileage, we average 19 - 22 miles per gallon. I'm thinking of increasing it's breathing capability and that should help a bit.

Versatile Road Trip Car — overall nothing wrong with this car. It didn't have a tow hitch on it when we purchased it but i found a used Toyota OEM hitch at a junk yard in Oregon for $90 compared to $3-400. Lots of future upgrades planned for this vehicle. This actually replaced my 2004 Colorado. Miss that truck but had to let her go for our 17 month old.

Pros

The Toyota Rav4 is a great small SUV. It has plenty of inside room and great cargo space. The handling is excellent up to 90+ mph.

Cons

This model of the Rav4 has the swing gate rather than the lift gate. I like it, but would prefer the lift. Also, it has struts rather than shocks, whick makes for a bumpier ride.

Excellent Car For It's Size. — I have never had any problems from this car. I have only had to replace the tires. The interior space including head and leg room is huge. The back seats recline and fold flat for more cargo space. It has a sunroof and heated seats. It's a great SUV.

Great Car For Erveryday Use And Capability — only negative thing I really have to say is that the seats can be a little firm on a long ride. Overall though its a great everyday car with good power, decent fuel economy, and room for people and cargo, and an excellent reliability factor.

Awesome family car

Cons

squeeks and rattles at 60k

Great Car — THe car was so great we replaced it with a brand new model. At 60k we started having squeeks and rattles that were driving us nuts. The black forest green is pretty but a biatch to keep clean. Really great fuel economy for a 4cyl SUV. Back seat was great. Car seat was a snap to install, although the latch design in the 2013 new body is far better.

Pros

Car looks great and is a perfect first car for my son.

Cons

Gas mileage isn't as great as I would have suspected for a car like this.

Fun And Reliable Little Truck — As I mentioned, the best part about the car is that its fun to drive and very reliable. The only real downside so far has been the relatively poor gas mileage. I assumed that a car like this would have great mileage.

Good (little) Suv — GREAT in snow, great MPG for what it is, but smaller than it seems. Tons of headroom, decent field of vision while driving. The trunk design in annoying, and the front seats are taller than they need to be, but the width it quite small

Nothing! — Thisis the second Toyota Rav4 I have owned. The first was a 1996 and was fantastic. The same goes for this model. This is a smaller SUV/truck and gets fantastic gas mileage, averaging 26 city and 30 highway miles. The V6 engine gives it great acceleration. The back folds down for cargo room. This vehicle is dependable and upkeep is reasonable. What I found most interesting with this car is the headlights. I know that sounds odd, though we had lived in a mountain community. On regular beam, people would flash as if we had the brights on! When the brights are on, the distance you can see is phenomenal. The one down side is the view out the front windows. With the angular frame, peripheral view requires an extra look, though this isminimal compared to the many positive features. This car is great on re-sale and holds it's worth, as it should. Dependable, great gas mileage, nice family car.
