Unless Something Better Comes Along, I'll Buy Anohter. By Matt
The Prius is my second hybrid with a 2006 Civic as my first. The Civic would outrun the Prius on curvy roads and was a bit more fun to drive. I'm very impressed by the high degree of comfort, conven... Read More

Overview of 2010 Toyota Prius Three By R. Feeman
The 2010 Toyota Prius III comes equipped with a number of standard features not included on the entry-level Prius II trim, including Bluetooth with steering-wheel-mounted controls, a six-way adjustable driver's seat, a four-way adjustable passenger seat, and an eight-speaker JBL AM/FM audio system with a 6-CD changer and an MP3 input jack. In addition, the Prius III receives a new feature for 2010, called a Touch Tracer Display, which shows virtual images of two steering-wheel-mounted control buttons on the dashboard instrument panel when they're pushed, enabling the driver to look forward rather than down when managing the car's audio, climate control, and other systems. Cloth seats, remote keyless entry, cruise control, and power windows and door locks are among the Prius III's other standard features. Optional features available on the Prius III but not on the Prius II include a voice-activated DVD navigation system and a power tilt/slide moonroof with a solar-powered ventilation system.
An updated Hybrid Synergy Drive powers the 2010 Prius III. The hybrid powerplant features two electric motors and an all-new, beltless 1.8-liter Atkinson-cycle DOHC four-cylinder gas engine. The gas engine and electric motors produce a combined 134 hp and link to a ECVT, or electronic continuously variable transmission, which shifts smoothly and seamlessly. The hybrid powerplant drives the Prius from 0-60 mpg in 9.8 seconds and posts fuel economy numbers of 51/48 mpg. Traction control, stability control, hill start assist, and antilock brakes with brake assist and electronic brakeforce distribution all come standard. Outside, the 2010 Prius III receives a new, more aerodynamic design for 2010, with a flat underbelly and a slightly lengthened tail. Exterior features include LED taillights and heated power mirrors. The Prius III rides on 15-inch alloy wheels.
This overview covers the Three trim only.
