Pros

The ride is still great after 16k miles.  Very comfortable and easy to handle car with the best gas mileage around

Cons

Only negative is the visibility through the rear hatch when trunk is loaded; there is a horizontal see-through area on the hatch lid that becomes obstructed, which impacts your ability to see traffic behind you.  Even after 2 years of ownership, that is still an irritation.  Compared to my Honda CRV, storage space is considerably smaller, which is a problem when traveling as a family. Engine strains when climbing hills in the Cumberland Gap area, but since we don't go there so often, that's a minor complaint.  Overall, pickup is adequate.

Overall, A Great Car With Some Minor Downsides — Solid history of great performance. If you have to buy a car these days, it makes the most sense to buy a hybrid because the gas engine is going to be the buggy whip of the 21st century. This car is excellent for a number of applications, but has some downsides. Before you buy, make sure that the visibility issue, mentioned above, is not a problem for you.

Go Get One. You Won't Regret It. — LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT. What a great car for town driving. Fun to drive and suprisingly roomy for cargo and passengers alike. The seats fold all the way down into a large platform. Back seat is roomy enough for an adult to sit comfortably. I just filled my tank having only 1/4 tank left and it only cost me $18.00 (7 gallons). You can travel over 550 miles on a single tank of gas!!! A quality product at a reasonable price. I highly recommend for cost/enviornmentaly conscious people.

Pros

improved gas mileage, BMW-like road handling, great acceleration, excellent braking, really fun to drive, early model dash reflections on windscreen problems solved, roomy inside to haul cargo and sleeping space.

Cons

ground clearance too low for Alaska roads (plows snow in winter), drivers side ergonomics inferior to earlier models: armrest too low, steering wheel position awkward, headrests uncomfortable until reversed. cloth seats not practical.

Great All-around Car For Passengers Or Bulky Cargo — I drove a friend's 2006 Prius for two months(in winter)and had to have my own. Have owned several sport cars in the past,(including three bmw's) and this hybrid Prius equals the driving fun.

Prius Rules ! — After just 1 (one !) week and 1100 km, I'm still amazed by this wonderful piece of technology ! The cabin is really spacious, the dash & head-up display seam to have been taken out of a 21st century fighter jet, controls feel just right & intuitive, the car just seems to glide over the roads, yet it handles like a razorblade ... Its white pearl body shines in the sun ... no wind or engine noise ... Even the lovely large alloys (17") are pretty quiet ! Fuel consumption is low (4.9 L / 100 km) and should improve after a few more thousands on the clock. Low temparatures (for the low countries, at least) may haved upped the fuel consumption slightly.

Love It! — Love this car. It has made driving fun, and I feel good about driving it. In town, with just a little awareness, I'm consistently in the mid 60s mpg. Overall, 57.8. Much better than I expected, has plenty of zip, and it's comfortable to boot. So far (approx 3,000 miles) a totally positive experience.

Push Button Start Uses Smart Fob In Your Pocket — hybrid is awesome, uses no keys, has navigation (GPS) built in dash with voice recognition, backup camera, bluetooth streaming from my iPhone to JBL stereo with in dash disk changer, water repellant side windows, leather grey heated seats with driver side lombard

A Lot Of Nice Features, Roomy And Love The Gas Mileage. — Love the gas mileage. I took a 700 mile trip and the average was 47 mpg. Some of my shorter trips have been over 50 mpg. The car has a lot of nice features, very roomy (my 6'3" husband fits in it comfortably), the voice command system is awesome.

Prius Review — Have owned car for less than 3 weeks. To date have had 2 fill ups. MPG has been 50mpg and 48.5 mpg on the 2 fill ups. Actual driving of the car not any different than driving any other low powered auto. My last car was a infiniti G35 which was exceptionally zippy so is a difference. Very satisfied with the accessories including Ipod link, satellite radio, climate control. NO squeaks or rattles to date. Biggest difference is adjusting to the "starting" and "turning off" the car. Overall happy with the car to date.

Prius — This is a great car to own if you do a lot of commute. Switch to Prius because I was driving my friend's car for a while. Found out the savings I get from the gas. Maintenance cost is affordable, as you know Japan's car maintenance is not expensive. Great handling and did not have a complain at all.
