The 2010 Suzuki SX4 Base offers economy and value in a small four-door sedan. Despite being an entry-level trim, the SX4 Base still offers a spunky drivetrain and good overall handling.

Powering the SX4 Base is a 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder (I4) engine that develops 150 hp and 140 lb-ft of torque. Relatively powerful for its class, this zingy motor is paired with a six-speed manual gearbox, the only transmission choice. Standard power steering is nicely weighted and direct.

Despite its above-average driving dynamics, the Suzuki SX4 Base falls behind in feature content. Air conditioning is not available, and the SX4 Base comes without a stereo. Almost comically the car is available in only one color - white - and the only options are floormats and keyless entry.
