Siwtched From Camry To Legacy...couldn't Be Happier — Super feel for the road & torque from the 3.6r. I'm a big fan of the appearance, looks substantial, sounds substantial. Car is a blast to drive & the seat warmers make even cold mornings a joy. Sure it lacks some bells & whistles, but the puddle lights make my wife giggle! Primary Use: Commuting to work

ProsVery reliable, quiet, smooth ride, roomy ConsWish front seats hugged better. Fan on low does not provide enough airflow for rear seats in winter. Fan on medium does, but adds to ambient noise.

Super Car — Ride, fuel economy for AWD car. CVT transmission nice. Very roomy. Very reliable. Great in the snow, Doors shut like a Mercedes, very solid. 60/40 back seat very useful for packing, especially skis or longer items. Would buy another. Primary Use: Commuting to work

ProsRidiculous amount of room. I'm 6'6" and i have to move the seat up for the clutch. Handling is great. Looks are stunning Conslag in acceleration

Spacious Luxury Awd Look A Like For Fraction Of The Cost — Being in the north east and being 6'6" and looking for fuel economy then this is the car to get. I am highly pleased with all of the cargo room that it has, I traded in my 2008 Tahoe. Subaru + manual transmission = Fun. Primary Use: Commuting to work

ProsSafety, Performance, and Fun ConsNot much tuning out yet

Great For The Family Dad That Isn't Quite Yet To Give Up His Adrenalinerush — Performance - quick and nimble, but grips the road like you've got super glue on your tires. Interior - stylish and functional. only downside is that the navigation and ipod functions are disabled while the car is in motion. But that is still a great safety feature, especially when you have to focus on driving when you've got a newborn in the back. Cost of ownership - gas is the equivalent of consumption of the v-6 3.5 altima, maybe 50 miles more to the tank, free oil changes for life!!! all and all well worth it in my opinion. ProsElegant cabin, comfort, quiet, AWD still at the heart of the car ConsA little softer than past Legacies; feels bigger but maybe just something to get used to

Luxury/sport Comfort In A Nicer Package, But Still A Subaru At Heart, Which Is Why I Bought It — This is the new Subaru! In some ways, for this 5x previous Subie owner and a big fan of the brand, it is a bit of an adjustment in that it feels bigger, more luxurious, softer...but that said, under all the bells and whistles remains the heart of a Subaru, with that on-rails feeling in the curves, tight build quality, solid feel overall plus great new leather-clad seats (in the Limited), amazing Hardon Kardon stereo system with iPod interface, moonroof, heated seats, BIG BIG backseat, and a great feel and look overall. This car is an excellent road cruiser in terms of quiet, comfort and cabin amenities. The CVT is smooth as silk and pulls alot of torque from the basic 4 cylinder boxer engine, and is as good at low speeds as it is at high speeds. Much better mileage than my '06, and much better low-end torque as well thanks to the CVT. I highly recommend it! Primary Use: Family transportation

ProsAWD performance, handling and cost of ownership, navigation system Cons3600 pound curb weight and slow shifiting automatic in manual mode

My Baby — I love the Legacy for the 256 horsepower 3.6 litre flat six and 5 speed SPORTSHIFT automatic transmission that provides spirited performance for a nearly 3600 pound car. The car as can be expected for one with All Wheel Drive is not the most athletic on the street but it corners without drama and goes pretty well in a straight line. The build quality is execptional. I had a WRX 5 years ago and the car nearly fell apart. The Legacy feels as solid as a brick wall. The styling is an evolution of the previous generation so it crisply done and very handsome. The only costs i have incurred over the first 3,363 miles is the cost of petrol. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) |
