The Xterra Is Clean And Simple And Has The Right Amount Of Options Inside And Out. — I like my Xterra it is a great old-school. I mainly brought my Xterra because it fit my active lifestyle. I do a lot of mountain biking and camping and the Xterra has a lot of factory installed equipment that helps me move my gear along without any problems.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Great Vehicle — The 2010 Xterra SE is a Great vehicle, lots of room everywhere, the ride is very good, steering response is very good, Drove 10 hours straight and the interior leather seats are comfortable and supportive, clean lines everywhere. 6 CD Stereo is outstanding. You will never find more vehicle for the money. I still have my 2001 Xterra SE and it looks, runs and rides great with 140,000 miles. Gas mileage is average, I was not looking for a gas miser. I rented a 2010 Ford Escape and I could not wait to get out of that vehicle, talk abouit uncomfortable, the engine is way undersized and the transmission revs and winds when you accellerate. The Xterra is

I Love My X — Decent on fuel for what it is. Lots of fun to drive and hit the trails. Enuff cargo space for a weeks worth of camping and fishing gear. Handles and rides really nice on road trips. The Stadium seating is great for passengers and the back seat is roomy enuff for adults

Old School Suv, But One Of The Most Versatile Go-anywhere Vehicles Sold In The Us — The 2010 Xterra is a blend of a relatively sophisticated engine and transmission with rock tough (and rock-hard) chassis and suspension componentry. The ride is definitely stiff, although I have become used to it in my month of ownership. Acceleration is quite strong, and despite its short wheelbase, and off-road-skewed design, it's actually a competent 75-80 mph interstate cruiser. I purchased the Off Road model, with its model-exclusive electric locking differential, and found it to be completely unstoppable during a blizzard that dumped 12 inches of snow in my area. The Off Road model has the rap for having the least hospitable ride in the Xterra line, but when I was shopping I also drove the luxury-oriented SE model and found zero difference in around-town ride comfort. The driving position is pretty comfortable for my 6'2" frame, and outward visibility is as good in the Xterra as it is lousy in the FJ Cruiser. I bought this vehicle because I wanted a simple, honest, sturdy vehicle (The Xterra frame is based on the frame of the massive Nissan Titan pickup) that offers superior bad-weather and off-road traction, yet contains a reasonable level of interior comfort and amenities. So far, my Xterra is delivering what I wanted.
