Overview of 2010 Mazda CX-9 Grand Touring By R. Feeman

The top-of-the-line, seven-passenger Mazda CX-9 Grand Touring receives a number of new interior and exterior features for 2010, which join a fairly extensive standard feature list. New interior features for 2010 include updated leather upholstery with refined stitching for the first two rows of seats, a redesigned leather-wrapped center console, and restyled chrome accents throughout the cabin. Other standard interior features for 2010 include heated power-adjustable front seats with driver's side memory, dark silver and wood-tone trim, three-zone automatic climate control, Bluetooth, an advanced remote keyless entry and start system, electroluminescent gauges, and a six-speaker AM/FM audio system with a CD player, Sirius satellite radio, and an MP3 input jack. New exterior features include a restyled grille, updated Xenon high-intensity headlights, and larger, more aerodynamic power-adjustable side mirrors, as well as a redesigned rear end with new LED taillights. Halogen foglights and rain-sensing windshield wipers also come standard. Options include a power glass moonroof and a power rear liftgate.

For power, the CX-9 Grand Touring comes equipped with a 3.7-liter V6 engine, which generates 273 hp and 270 lb-ft of torque. The V6 links to a six-speed Sport AT electronically controlled automatic transmission with a manual-shift mode. Fuel economy numbers for the V6 check in at 16/22 mpg. In its standard configuration, the front-wheel-drive CX-9 Sport can tow up to 2,000 pounds, which increases to 3,500 pounds when equipped with an optional Tow Prep Package. Antilock brakes, traction control, Dynamic Stability Control, and a Roll Stability Control system are among the standard safety features. A Blind Spot Monitoring system also comes standard. The CX-9 Grand Touring rides on 20-inch wheels with all-season radial tires.

This overview covers the Grand Touring trim only.
