2010 Mazda CX-9 Grand Touring AWD Trim Overview

As the best-equipped CX-9 trim available for 2010, the Mazda CX-9 Grand Touring AWD combines a wide range of upscale features with Mazda's Active Torque Split all-wheel-drive system, which keeps the seven-passenger crossover vehicle firmly planted to the road. The AWD system sends 100 percent of torque to the front wheels during normal driving conditions, and to the rear axle or to wheels with traction when it detects slippage. It channels power from a 3.7-liter V6 engine, which produces 273 hp and 270 lb-ft of torque. The V6 links to a six-speed Sport AT electronically controlled automatic transmission with a manual-shift mode. Fuel economy numbers for the V6 check in at 15/21 mpg.

A number of new features join the CX-9 Grand Touring AWD's standard equipment list for 2010. Outside, the CX-9 Grand Touring receives a restyled grille and headlights, larger power-adjustable side mirrors, and a revamped rear end with new LED taillights. Mazda also adds a number of new interior features for 2010, including updated leather upholstery with refined stitching for the first two rows of seats, a redesigned leather-wrapped center console, and restyled chrome accents throughout the cabin. Other standard interior features include heated power-adjustable front seats with driver's side memory, dark silver and wood-tone trim, three-zone automatic climate control, Bluetooth, an advanced remote keyless entry and start system, electroluminescent gauges, and a six-speaker AM/FM audio system with a CD player, Sirius satellite radio, and an MP3 input jack. Standard safety features include a full range of airbags, antilock brakes, traction control, Dynamic Stability Control, and a Roll Stability Control system. A blind-spot monitoring system also comes standard. The CX-9 Grand Touring rides on 20-inch wheels with all-season radial tires.
