This five-passenger, four-door luxury crossover SUV is also available in the new-for-2010 Midnight Limited Edition with body-color grille, 22-inch polished aluminum wheels, and special chrome exterior accents and interior leather embossing. Other options include rear-seat DVD entertainment, THX II surround sound audio, and a power-operated Panoramic Vista Sunroof.

The 3.5-liter VVT V6 and six-speed automatic transmission powering the 2010 MKX Base puts out 265 hp and 250 lb-ft of torque, good enough to tow 3,500 pounds of trailer when the Class II tow package is selected. EPA estimates for the MKX Base are 18/25 mpg, a marginal improvement over those of its AWD brother.
