Chock full of standard features, the 2010 Lincoln MKX AWD luxury crossover SUV also offers four doors and five-passenger seating, as well as 69 cubic feet of cargo space with the rear seats folded. Some other standard appearance, comfort, and convenience features include leather upholstery, multi-level-heated, power-adjustable front bucket seats, reclining rear seats, heated outside mirrors, power accessories, front and overhead storage consoles, wheel-mounted cruise and audio controls, a tilting and telescoping steering wheel, memory for driver’s seat and mirror settings, a universal remote garage door opener, USB connection, SYNC/Bluetooth audio-integrated hands-free communication technology, and a 6-CD changer with satellite radio and six speakers. Options include several Limited Edition Packages, including a brand-new Midnight Limited Edition Package, as well as such stand-alone offerings as 20-inch chrome-clad wheels, voice-activated DVD navigation, rear-seat DVD entertainment, remote start, a power sunroof, THX II surround sound audio, a Class II Trailer Tow Prep Package, and heated rear seats. Safety-wise, four-wheel ABS, traction and stability control, dual front side-mounted airbags, three-row head airbags, and rear parking sensors are complemented by front fog/driving lights, a remote anti-theft alarm system, and a post-collision safety system.
The single engine and transmission combo offered with the full-time all-wheel-drive 2010 MKX AWD is a 3.5-liter variable-valve-timed (VVT) V6 and six-speed automatic that’ll put out 265 hp and 250 lb-ft of torque. This partnership will tow some 3,500 pounds when the Class II Trailer Tow Prep Package is selected. Meanwhile, a center limited-slip differential is standard with this AWD crossover, keeping it on the straight and narrow in virtually any weather. The EPA rates the 2010 MKX AWD at 17/23 mpg.
This overview covers the AWD trim only.
