It gets 17 city/23 highway mpg and has a 3,500-pound towing capacity. The Base is shorter than the two other trims (LX and EX) with a 113.8-inch wheelbase (compared to 118.9 for the LX and EX) and 189.4-inch total length (compared to 202.0). Its total passenger volume is 161.6 cubic feet, and total cargo volume is 121.3 cubic feet (compared to 172.3 and 141.5, respectively, for the LX and EX). The Base comes standard with electronic stability control, traction control, and four-wheel antilock brakes with brake assist and electronic brakeforce distribution.
The Sedona Base's exterior features include chrome door handles, chrome side moldings, power body-color mirrors, privacy glass windows, rear wiper, roof rails, and 16-inch steel wheels with 225/70R16 tires. The 2010 Kia Sedona LX shares its drivetrain with the Base trim – a 3.8-liter, 244-hp V6 mated to a five-speed automatic transmission that gets 17 city/23 highway mpg. The LX has the longer of the two body styles with a 118.9-inch wheelbase, a 202-inch total length, 172.3 cubic feet of passenger volume, and 141.5 cubic feet of cargo volume.
The LX shares safety, interior, and exterior features with the Base and adds a standard back-up warning system, 60/40-split fold-in-the-floor third-row seats, and Double Raschel cloth seat trim. It also has options for a trailer hitch, dual power-sliding doors, and a rear DVD entertainment system.
