Overview of 2010 Jeep Commander Sport By Tim O'Sullivan

The 2010 Jeep Commander Sport is the least-expensive trim for this SUV model line. Its rear wheels are powered by a 3.7-liter V6 (210 horsepower at 5,200 rpm and 235 lb-ft of torque at 4,000 rpm) that’s mated to a five-speed automatic transmission. The Commander Sport gets 15 city/20 highway mpg and has a 6,500-pound towing capacity and a 1,310-pound maximum payload. It comes standard with four-wheel antilock brakes and an Electronic Stability Program.

Interior highlights for the Commander Sport include front and rear HVAC, power windows with one-touch up and down for the front, ParkSense Rear Park Assist System, mini trip computer, tilt and telescoping steering wheel, cloth seat trim, eight-way power driver’s seat, second-row 40/20/40-split fold-and-tumble seat, third-row 50/50-split bench, and a six-speaker stereo with CD/MP3, steering-wheel-mounted controls, and one year of SIRIUS Satellite Radio.

Exterior highlights include powered and heated mirrors, foglamps, remote entry, full-size spare tire, and 17-inch aluminum wheels with P245/65R17 all-terrain tires.

This overview covers the Sport trim only.
