ProsSexy Good Looks, Performs Well ConsIf you don't enjoy getting a lot for your money.

Easily The Best Bang For The Buck In The Sports Car Market Currently. — In my opinion, the Genesis Coupe is easily one of the most attractive vehicles on the road currently. It easily competes with the G37, 370Z, Camaro and Mustang at a fraction of the cost, and fuel consumption is much better than any of these competitors. The exhaust sound is intoxicating, and I find myself driving it aggressively just to hear its rumble. Interior fit and finish is simple, with controls being well laid out, with not too many buttons. Some of the finishes could potentially feel a little less plasticky. Primary Use: Commuting to work

ProsOnce you test drive one you simply won't believe it's a Hyundai. ConsNOT a family car and NOT easy on the insurance!

All Of This And A 10 Year 100,000 Mile Warranty With 5 Year Road Side Assistance Is The Best! — The 2010 Genesis Coupe 380GT is the fastest car I have owned....even faster than my 2005 Nissan Altima SE-R. So far I am really enjoying it and have already gotten 2 speeding tickets! Genie is the name of my Genesis and she really knows how to disappear! Handing is great and interior and exterior designs are superb. The butterfly paddle shifters make it impossible to over-rev or "skip" gears, but also offers faster shifts than the traditional heel/toe hand & foot method used on a stick. This vehicle was purchased after considering, available sport truck models and several sports cars, including the Ford Mustang, Mitsubishi Lancer and Subaru WRX. I also test drove and even rented the 2010 Camaro. After this entire revelation, I came back to Genesis! Current modifications include the 2-toned paint on the hood and roof and just a couple of trunk vinyls for added flair. The Genesis insignias that adorn the car are factory installed and was on the car prior to purchase. Super fun car to drive, very enjoyable on road trips, easy on gas and even easier on the eyes....inside and out! Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

This Can't Be A Hyundai — I can only sum up this car in three letters "wow". This car went beyond all my expectations. First off, the car is a real athlete. Quick acceleration comes from a 306 hp (312 hp w/ premium fuel) 3.8L V6 which can get the car from a standstill to 60 mph in about 5.5 seconds. top speed is rated at 152 mph but if you take the limiter off it can do well over 160 mph. Handling is just as impressive with a 68 mph slalom speed and .89 on the skid-pad. Bridge stone Potenza tires and 18 inch alloy wheels really help put these numbers up on the board. Styling is spot on. The Coupe has a number of curves that really give it a sleek completion. And the styling continues into the interior with black leather seating, and aluminum decorating the cup holders, dash board and door handles. Overall this car has great value. With a base price of just 25,000 dollars you get tons of technology which you have to pay extra for in other luxury sport coupes. I give this car a 4.5 out of 5.

ProsI love this car! It has been reliable and is a blast to drive! Seats are really comfortable, stereo system is good, car handles very well. Love the body lines and asymetric exhaust. The Bluetooth is great and calls are clear-totally handsfree! ConsWish it had memory seats!

Pretty And Beyond Fun To Drive!!! — I looked at several cars before choosing the Genesis. I had previously owned a Nissan 350-Z and an Infiniti G-37. The G-37 turned out not to be all that so I got rid of it and started looking for a replacement commuter car (the Z was a weekend toy). I saved the Genesis for last because I had a feeling that was the car I would be buying. We had a 2007 Sonata and loved it-it never had one issue.. I have been driving for 40 years and have never owned a front wheel drive car so my search was somewhat limited. Apparently, nobody makes RWD cars anymore (I'm not counting cars made here)! I have had the car for 2 1/2 years and still love it as much as the day I bought it. This is only the second car I have driven for more than 2 years (I get bored easily!) and I plan to keep in until the wheels fall off! It's comfortable, quick and handles like it's on rails! I adore it!!! Primary Use: Commuting to work

ProsGood looking car for good value. ConsAcceleration underwhelming. Doesn't handle great in the rain.

Good For Hyundai, But Still Not A "luxury" Car — I got plenty of compliments in this car, but it's not a luxury car. The interior has started to peel in places. The car has definitely not held it's value as it's already worth less than 50% in under 3 years. Primary Use: Commuting to work

ProsWith the big brembo brakes it will stop on a dime ConsThe boost is regulated by the ECU. This makes it more exspensive to tune

Lots Of Potential To Be A Great Track Car — With the sporty design, big brakes and quick acceleration, this little car sure packs a punch. With 6 on the floor you can really drive this car. there is enough gear to always be in boost and the brembos make it easy to slow down when you see a cop appear lol. Primary Use: Commuting to work

ProsStylish fun car. Perfect for daily driving. ConsRear seats are useless unless you have 5 ft freinds

Nice — Appearance; was very stylish and looks great, and was quite comfortable inside especially with the soft bucket type seats. Build quality; Its fairly quiet when your commute. Although there is a small rear pillar that prevents you from looking back at your blind spot, but you get use to it and look past that. As for gas milages its pretty good avg 25mpg on premium. Maintenance and repair costs are also fairly cheap. Performance; With a turbo built in the car accelerates smoothly and quickly, for handling its not so great as its a pretty heavy car. Overall its a fun car to drive everyday. |
