Overview of 2010 Honda Civic LX-S By R. Feeman
The 2010 Honda Civic LX-S compact sedan comes equipped with a number of standard features not found on the Civic LX trim, including a perforated leather-wrapped steering wheel, as well as such exterior features as a rear spoiler and a chrome exhaust pipe. Other standard interior features for the LX-S include cruise control, air conditioning, a tilt/telescoping steering wheel, power windows and door locks, and a 160-watt, four-speaker AM/FM audio system with a CD player, speed-sensitive volume, and an MP3 input jack. Cargo space in the trunk checks in at 12 cubic feet, although owners can expand cargo space by folding down the rear seatbacks. Safety features in the cabin include dual-stage front, front side, and side curtain airbags.
For power, the Civic LX-S features a 1.8-liter i-VTEC four-cylinder engine, which develops 140 hp and 128 lb-ft of torque. Multi-point fuel injection, a Direct Ignition system, and a Drive-by-Wire throttle system help improve the engine's performance, fuel economy, and responsiveness. A five-speed manual transmission comes standard, while owners can opt for an available five-speed automatic. The powerplant posts fuel economy numbers of 26/34 mpg with the manual transmission and 25/36 mpg with the automatic. The engine runs on regular unleaded fuel. Antilock brakes with electronic brakeforce distribution come standard. The Civic LX-S trim rides on 16-inch alloy wheels with all-season tires.
This overview covers the LX-S trim only.
