This Vehicle Is Great! — This vehicle is a huge leap forward from the older models. Comfort and luxury is vastly improved. I had a 2004 Escape mileage is better.and it was a great vehicle. This 2010 is good where the 2004 was and much better where the old one need attention. Brakes, handling and

Great Quality As Ford Is Known For, User Friendly Interior, Great Bang For The Buck. — I really enjoy my 2010 Ford Escape XLT. I purchased the Sport Appearance package that is all black, including rims, grill, and interior. Only having the vehicle for about 5 weeks I have had no issues except that I did downgrade from a Trailblazer so the size is substantially different. Comfortability is lost a bit in the rear seat for full sized adults (or our teen son.) Fuel efficiency is a bit better, although I did go with the V6 so we are averaging 21 mpg. The V6 performance is worth the mileage if you downgrade from a larger SUV. The appearance package is very nice, although the styling is about due for a change. Quality is about the same as other similarly sized vehicles such as RAV4, CRV, or the Equinox.

Great Traveling Vehicle — Can't go wrong with this vehicle, there maybe other small suv's out there but this one is great!! Just purchased it from a dealer here on cargurus and couldn't be happier. I would recommend this vehicle to anyone that does some traveling and needs room.

Great Vehicle If You Need A Little Room To Store And Carry Things Around. — I love the color and the way it handles. The square back enables me to place larger items in the cargo area. It gets pretty good gas mileage for the style of vehicle and has plenty of get up and go.

The Vehicle Is Really A Great Driving And Handling Suv. The Awd Is Great In Ice And Snow. — I purchased this vehicle in January 2010 specifically to tow behind my class A motor home with all wheels on the ground. I discussed this with the sales and service managers. Both assured me that there would be no problems towing this vehicle as long as I followed the Ford TSB # 09-20-13. I was given a copy of this TSB for reference. The first trip towing the Escape was from Michigan to Florida and return. The trip went flawlessly. In May of 2010, I received a letter from Ford Customer Service (ref. # 10B15) asking that I return the vehicle to a Ford dealer for service on a potential defect to the transmission. I did as requested and the service department replaced the forward and overdrive clutches, filter and valve body. The vehicle performed perfectly after the service repair. On January 31st 2011, we again departed for Florida towing the Escape behind the motor home. I followed all the requirements of TSB 09-20-13. We traveled around Florida towing the Escape with no problems. On march 14th we departed Port St. Lucie for Ormond Beach with the Escape in tow. When we reach our destination and disconnecting the Escape from the motor home, I was not able to move the Escape as the transmission was in-operable. I had the vehicle towed to a Ford dealer wherethe service department said the transmission was burned up. Ford Motor Company covered the warranty and replaced the entire transmission, transmission cooler/AC condensor assembly (also flushed the lines.) The Escape has functioned perfectly for one week. We will be returning to Michigan on March 28 with the Escape in tow. Results of the return trip are still TBD.

Not Bad, Body Style Getting Stale ( Time For Redesign ) — vehicle drive train two wheel / all wheel drive, unlike my 2004 which is all wheel drive / locked four wheel drive. 240 hp 3.0 v6 quite peppy. not sure i like the six speed auto trans and shifter only allows drive and low positions. i do not think i will bring this on the beach. redesigned engine intake and a lot more chrome on this car over my 2004, body style and size the same as my 2004. MAIN PROBLEM IS VIBRATION AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS THAT DEVELOPED RESENTLY
